A caracter\u00edstica fundamental desses pensadores \u00e9&nbsp;o abandono das explica\u00e7\u00f5es mitol\u00f3gicas ou religiosas, passando a buscar, atrav\u00e9s da raz\u00e3o, a origem (<em><a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Arch%C3%A9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">arch\u00e9<\/a><\/em>) de todos os seres.  <strong>Parm\u00eanides declarou: o princ\u00edpio de tudo \u00e9 o <em>Ser<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Todas as coisas t\u00eam o <em>Ser<\/em>, mas o <em>Ser<\/em>&nbsp;n\u00e3o \u00e9 aquilo que vemos, pois tudo o que vemos nasce, cresce e perece, ou seja, faz parte do movimento da natureza. O <em>Ser<\/em>&nbsp;\u00e9 &nbsp;im\u00f3vel, caso contr\u00e1rio pereceria. \u00c9 percebido apenas atrav\u00e9s da raz\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assim, Parm\u00eanides conclui que o mundo que percebemos pelos sentidos \u00e9 apar\u00eancia e ilus\u00e3o (<em>n\u00e3o-ser<\/em>), sendo o <em>Ser,&nbsp;<\/em>uno e eterno<em>, <\/em>a ess\u00eancia da exist\u00eancia<\/strong>. Dessa forma, <em>&#8220;o Ser \u00e9, o n\u00e3o-ser n\u00e3o \u00e9&#8221;<\/em>. Essa maneira de entender o <em>Ser <\/em>ser\u00e1, futuramente, uma das bases do pensamento de Plat\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essa \u00e9 uma diferen\u00e7a marcante entre Parm\u00eanides e Her\u00e1clito: para Parm\u00eanides o <em>Ser <\/em>\u00e9 im\u00f3vel e existe uma cr\u00edtica aos sentidos, enquanto que, para Her\u00e1clito, o <em>Ser<\/em> \u00e9 movimento e h\u00e1 valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o dos sentidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parm\u00eanides \u00e9 classificado como fil\u00f3sofo da <em>physis<\/em> apesar de indicar o surgimento da <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.netmundi.org\/filosofia\/2013\/o-que-e-metafisica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">metaf\u00edsica<\/a> (aquilo que est\u00e1 al\u00e9m da f\u00edsica)<\/strong>. Isso ocorre porque em momento algum Parm\u00eanides declara o <em>Ser <\/em>como al\u00e9m da <em>physis<\/em>, como far\u00e1 Plat\u00e3o, ainda que existam discord\u00e2ncias entre os comentaristas sobre isso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parm\u00eanides afirma que para compreender o <em>Ser<\/em>&nbsp;\u00e9 necess\u00e1rio trilhar a &#8220;via da verdade&#8221; (<em>al\u00e9theia<\/em>) e evitar a &#8220;via das opini\u00f5es&#8221; (<em>doxa<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parm\u00eanides: &#8220;via da verdade&#8221; e &#8220;via das opini\u00f5es&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>A &#8220;<strong>via da verdade&#8221;<\/strong> (<em>al\u00e9theia<\/em>) \u00e9 a via que leva ao <em>Ser<\/em>, o caminho do pensamento e da reflex\u00e3o que conduz \u00e0 contempla\u00e7\u00e3o do <em>Ser <\/em>eterno, da verdade oculta na apar\u00eancia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A<strong> &#8220;via das opini\u00f5es&#8221;<\/strong> (<em>doxa<\/em>)&nbsp;&nbsp;\u00e9 o caminho das apar\u00eancias e dos sentidos, &nbsp;a via da ilus\u00e3o e da superficialidade. \u00c9 o caminho da opini\u00e3o dos homens e do senso comum que leva ao nada, ao <em>n\u00e3o-ser<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A quest\u00e3o colocada pelo personagem <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hamlet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hamlet<\/a>, de Shakespeare, provavelmente inspirada em Parm\u00eanides, representa a quest\u00e3o existencial diante da realidade, a d\u00favida entre verdade e ilus\u00e3o: &#8220;<em>Ser ou n\u00e3o ser, eis a quest\u00e3o<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A import\u00e2ncia dos pr\u00e9-socr\u00e1ticos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>O termo pr\u00e9-socr\u00e1tico carrega certo preconceito: \u00e9 entendido como reflex\u00e3o filos\u00f3fica inicial que s\u00f3 ir\u00e1 amadurecer com S\u00f3crates, Plat\u00e3o e Arist\u00f3teles.
